"Steel Magnolia" is owned by Pat and Pam Roberts of Talahassee and Ocean Reef, FL. The 61' Viking was named by the owner's boys, Madison and Austin Roberts. "Steel Magnolia" is the name given to their mother by her doctors. Pam leads the team with the same enthusiam and determination she has had for the past fifteen years. A key part of the team are the Roberts' two sons. Madison is a recently licensed captain after mating under the leadership of Captain Greg Graham. Austin, a high school senior and outstanding lacrosse player, enjoys inshore as well as offshore fishing.

The "Steel Magnolia" is known by most in the fishing community as a family boat. Their love of the ocean, fishing, and participation in billfish tournaments are evident to all who are acquainted with them. The entire team will attest to the fact that the Roberts made them a part of the family when they became part of the team. Team members often seek advice from Mr. Pat or Ms. Pam.
